The Dirt about The Garden

Established in 1996 as The first Organic Garden Center in LA County. We specialize in Fruits, Vegetables and Herbs from around the world as well as from the old world. We have Seeds and seedlings of your favorite old timers like Burbank tomatoes and fruit trees. We also have a large selection of California natives and other plants just made for our Mediteranean climate. Come by for some practical gardening advice or to share some of your own.

Our hours are seasonally dictated.

In the Spring and Early Summer, March 15th through July 15th, we are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and on Sundays from 12:30 pm to 4pm.

During the Summer, Mid July through Mid October our hours are a modified Euro style, in other words we start watering at 7:30 am and try to be indoors by 1pm. After the day cools around 4pm we can be found outside untill 6 or so. You can come by any time between 7:30am to 6pm but during the middle of the oh so hot day getting me back outside might be tough. We are Closed on Sundays and Mondays.

In the Fall, Southern California's Perennial planting season, October 15th through the Holidays, December 26th, we are open 10 am to 5pm Tuesday through Saturday and on Sundays from 12:30 pm to 4pm. We are Closed on Mondays.

During the Winter, we are closed from December 27th untill the first Tuesday after the 1st of January. From January 2nd through March 14th, the Rainy season, We will be open from 10am to 5pm Tuesday through Saturday and we are closed on Sunday and Monday.

We are located at 845 N. Garey Ave. in Historic Old Town Pomona, California just blocks south of the 10 fwy from the Garey Ave exit.
